Rich Batten works primarily as Project Manager
for the National Healthy Marriage Resource Manager (NHMRC).Batten has an extensive background in NHMRC's
primary field of focus, healthy marriages and families. Before joining PSI, he
worked in the marriage and family field with the Colorado Department of Human
Services, as a Family and Fatherhood Specialist.He brings to NHMRC more than twenty years of
experience as a collaborative and strategic leader committed to improving the
well being of marriages, families, fathers and communities.
Batten is a Certified Family Life Educator and is a subject matter expert,
having taught numerous family education programs including Bringing Baby Home,
PREP, Pre-Enrich, Fatherhood Development, Caring Dads and Boot Camp for New
Dads.Batten also has expertise in the
management of family strengthening programs within a government context. He had
fiscal and administrative management of a multi-million dollar annual
responsible fatherhood grant, including managing extensive media efforts as
part of a statewide public awareness campaign. His expertise also includes
successful development of statewide collaborative relationships between
fatherhood programs, domestic violence programs, healthy marriage programs,
child welfare, child support enforcement and Department of Corrections.
Batten is based out of NHMRC's Denver office, working closely with staff in
NHMRC's home office in Oklahoma City, as well as the federal project officer, key
stakeholders and NHMRC partner organizations across the country. < Back to Team
